d15b into the 96 dx civic ????'s

Default d15b into the 96 dx civic ????'s

ok, have just drop in my jdm d15b motor and trans into my 96 dx coupe. i go to start it up and it idles and bogs. i am using the p28 ecu... am i running too rich here? and also i have somewhat of a white ish smoke coming out of my exhuast, could my headgasket be bad? i think i might need to change my head gasket? well, anything would help guys and gals... thanks in advance

did you put new plugs in it ? did you do a compression test ?

If the car hasn't been started in a while, a decent amount of white smoke is normal. If it continues after the car is warmed up or if it smells sweet, you probably have a problem with the head gasket.

well in my opinion go to check out your oil dipstick and see if it is somewhat milky this is a good way to check and see if your headgasket is the problem also does it overheat.

another would be is timing problem it has a big impact on how u do things could u be off by 1 or 2 teeths cam timing or ignition timing did the motor come as a whole or did you put that timing belt on there with less exp
