Default d15b crank in a d15b7?

i have seen on a site where a guy used a jdm d15b crank inside a d15b7 but i cant find the site? i am looking to rebuild my d15b7 with this crank and use d16 rods just to squeeze out some more horses when i eventually turbo it...if any one has any info or the link to the site i would greatly apprecite it

just keep your original crank and buy some fj i beams.if you go turbo you'll need stronger rods anyway.

JDM D15B crank WILL work in usdm b7. Main journals are 1.771 (45mm) just like the b7. The Rod journals are the same as d16 1.771 (45mm). B7 rod journals are 42mm. Just remember that the d16 rod is 3mm longer than the d15 137mm vs 134mm, so you will have to be careful what pistons you use. I am working on the same build at the moment. FJ does not make an i-beam rod for the usdm D15* but there is talk of a custom length H-beam in the works for usdm d15* with vitara. Still in the design phase as of yet. There is a company in Hungary that makes a vitara H-beam (136mm) for usdm d15* for 340 shipped. www.importtuning.hu I am using FJ jdm d15 custom length i-beams and stock bore vitaras on a jdm d15b crank in a usdm d15b7 block. If you are just thinking of using all honda internals, you can use crank, rods, and pistons from jdm d15b.Only thing that changes is your CR (9.28:1 to 8.55:1) Hope that answers some questions.
