Default d series trans

i know its gonna be a dumb question and i searched to but not enough time to go through 9866845234 pages. i know about the d series trans swap and i picked up a 5 speed from a crx si. it was on a d15 so i know it will fit, but my real question is the spline inlets are the same on all d series trans right? the inlets i speak of are the ones from the half-shafts to to trans? i think if i remember correct the only differences are the spline counts to the hubs, not to the trans on a d series. answers asap would be great.

88 = 21 spline
89-91 = 20 spline

Also on the input shaft, no = 88, one groove = 89, two grooves = 90-91, there is a pic somewhere....I don't have it handy.

ok nevermind i get it by the "grooves" term. it has two grooves(my spelling correction as well). so that is settled, its a 90-91 trans. now what i need to know is will my clutch from the 4 speed work with the 5 speed. let it be know im still learning about these cars, still reading a lot of ---- about them. but is the clutches teeth the same on both transmissions?? i really dont want to buy another clutch after i just bought this new one i got on it.....with the 4 speed.....
