D-series Questions

Okay first off i have a 90-91 ZC tranny and a 90-91 civic flywheel but i have a 92-95 clutch set.. will that work or do i need something different?

Also i can't find any ARP headstuds for the D16a6, what head bolts will work if they don't make them for the d16a6.. the z6 ones are shorter i believe..?

Re:D-series Question

the 92 clutch is hydro, the 91 clutch is cable, I don't think they'll work, but you should wait for someone smarter than me to reply.

Re:D-series Question

well the disc mates perfectly with the flywheel and it slides on the tranny just like the 90-91 civic clutch disc, but i wanna know for sure

Re:D-series Questions

check part numbers from different manufacturers, particularly the one you got yours from, if they are the same then it looks like you found a winner. I'm not talking about "kit" part numbers because the 92 will include ---- you don't need, I think, so just compare disc part numbers.

Re:D-series Questions

that won't help.. the civic and crx of 90-91 are even different part #'s and they are even the same exact clutch, i need to know for sure if this will work!!! PLZ!

Re:D-series Questions

It works...I think the release bearing is a bit different.
I'm currently using a '91 CRX clutch kit on a 92 EG hatch.
They are all the same only the release bearing I had to take of the part that holds the release bearing to the fork of the hydro tranny from the old release bearing and then replace it with the one on the new CRX release bearing. The CRX one has a different thing to attach the release bearing. That was about it...it was easy. So what you have should work, just look at the release bearing that's the only thing you need to change or modify

Just call James man, he or Tom will know... I'm pretty sure any 90+ civic clutch should work fine though...

I am using a 95 civic clutch disk with my 91 crx. Just as long as everything slides on right you should be fine.
