d series flywheel question
so i can turn flywheels at work and i have turned a bunch of b-series flywheels for buddys, one of my buddys is building a d engine, wants me to turn the flywheel so im like yeah no problem, but when i look at it it looks like its a stepped flywheel, but the outer step is taller than the inner step, is this how its supposed to be or is this flywheel just fucked? all the b series flywheels i have turned are stepped, but they have a large step and the inner is up higher, this thing has a tiny tiny step up on the outer ........i saw it and said this thing is fucked, but maybe im wrong ???

Re: d series flywheel question
D series has most of the weight on the outer edge..............
I hope that after your tuning flywheels your spending the $60 to have them balanced :) D flywheel cut down to 12.25-12.5 pounds, balanced (8 holes) to 10,000 rpm....... http://www.bettendorf.com/~mrbone/pi...utFlywheel.jpg |
