CRX in trouble - help needed

Hello guys!

First of all i want to thank for this wonderful forum and info in it.
I have been reading it for a while now trying to get my car finished but i can't.
Desperate i registred and decided to ask for some time from you, if possible, to help me solve this problem.
I dont know much about car mechanics or electronics but trying really hard to solve issues myself. Now, despite all the information i gathered and read i can't understand the problem to my engine/ecu.

The car is a 89 crx (like us si model that had stock d16a9 engine) and it failed. So after a long time saving cash i bought a b16a2 and stuff needed to put it in. With a lot of help from friends we managed to put it in.
Then we added the wires needed and pw0 ecu.

The car ran for some days but with poor performance and eating gas.
I read in foruns that the o2 sensors needed to be switched and i did switch the plugs but still the car wasnt performing well. Idle was ok but low power and when running over 120km/h it would seem low on power.
The ecu had a stock pw0 ecu map (so for b16a1 engine). But i think (based on reading) that it should run more or less ok.

Then last week i started to have code 5 in ecu and no vtec working.
I followed the fsm to diagonise and based on it it should be a open circuit in map sensor wire white. I replaced wire but no luck.

So now i'm kind of puzzled and no clue what to do next...
I have here a old map sensor from a 87 crx d16 (my friend gave it) but the plug to engine loom is diferent. I cant find this map sensor wiring diagram (87 crx) as the wires are coded red/white/green and dont match my cars wiring color for map sensor plug. This map i was given is a denso 079800-0831.

Help! Is there anyone that can give me a help on this?
Thanks!

Can you check the voltage on the MAP signal pin on the ECU with a multimeter? What do you find?

First thanks for time to reply.

If i was completely lost now even more...
After spending about 16 hours trying to understand wtf is going on i found that the coolant temperature sensor had a broken wire. Went to local junkyard and bought a used connector with extra wire (as the red wire in CTS broke jus next to plastic of plug).
After soldering in the new connector i got rid of error code 5....
Oh - before i had error code 3,5 and 22. Im using the vtec valve with only 1 connector.
Then that changed to error 3 and 5.
Now i solved 3 and 5 and new 6 lol but still have 22 to deal with.
(in the process also found that i had done wrong the vacumm lines to pressure regulator actuator)
My question is:
i have a 1 plug vtec valve, so no vtec oil pressure switch ( i think this is the right name ) and a pw0 ecu. I saw in Bre that i can disable error 22 and/or disable that option in rom options.
Does anyone have a hint on the best solution for this code 22?

ps- i tried (after googling for a couple of hours that i could bridge A4 and D6 to solve this. I tried it and didnt work.
Thanks in advance!

Is it A8+B5?

I'm no post frequently here but here we go:

1- For your code 22 splice the vtec PS wire to vtec SOL signal wire.

2- Over the years we have troubles with obd0 swap engines the most common fix for the hesitation/bog and poor performance is to leave the o2's disconnected. This will trigger a CEL every time to time but not biggie.

3- For the map sensor check your voltage at map sensor plug using the middle wire as ground check the to side wires it should be about 5.0v

Thanks for the reply!

What is SOL? vtec sol?
After many hours reading and getting hands durty i have managed to solve all issues but i feel i masked the code 22 issue.
What i did was to use the stock jdm pw0 code, disable the usuall stuff plus all vtec checks in rom and disable vector code 22; kept both o2 sensors on.
With the shunt between a8 and b5 i still got cell.
So now car seems to run well, exhaust doesnt smell and no errors. \o/

IT's a b16a2 with edm 92 itr cams.
I think that the jdm stock code may be a good map for the engine, but at same time i question it cause i looked at p30 maps and pw0 and they are quite diferent. I wonder if the maps fit good my engine.
Is there someone with a stock map like the p30 on a pw0?

Sir sorry i didn't awser this :(
When i tested map sensor i followed the service manual and after several rechecks it would be a open on white wire. But i knew my cabling was good in that part.
I remember i got the 5v in one side and no voltage in the other pair.
But truth is that after solving cts problem also map disapear like magic
ALso same time i found a problem and solve the fpr vacum lines.

VTEC solenoid

If you jump the vtec pressure switch which your JDM engine not use to the wire signal of the vtec solenoid you get rid of code 22.

In the MAP sensor plug the middle wire is ground the other two one in each side should have ~5.0v (this is with the plug disconnected) With plug connected you should have about 5.0v in one and about 3.0v in the other.
Not remember which one is signal in obd0 from the top of my head but I think is the first (facing the radiator) middle ground and the last always 5.0v.
