Re: crx rear disc

dont waste your time with it unless you just want it to look good
other then that all your doing is adding weight and not really gaining much in the braking department
also drums dont fade

bulshit they dont fade, it helps braking alot and the weight is not that much more

Re: crx rear disc

doesnt help much but drums fade lots

Re: crx rear disc

Yeah I got drums and they fade like a ----------er, but that could also be the front rotors getting hot they are tiny

tiny what by less then a inch compared to a gsr

Re: crx rear disc

An inch would be a huge difference.

not with a stock 13/16 master cylinder, pressure is the same pushing on a bigger surface think about it

Re: crx rear disc

very true discs plus a upgraded master, and drums not fading?? go drive a 60's anything and tell me drums don't fade...

The pressure is the same but since it is acting further from the axis of rotation there is more stopping power. Its like pulling on a 3 foot wrench or a 4 foot wrench. Its not that extreme but with the larger diameter you will have more stopping power....even with the same pressure.

yup, speaking of brakes you guys see the huge brakes on the new chevy z1r? their like 15.5 inch up front and 15inch rear with 6 piston calipers in the front and 4's in the rear

Re: crx rear disc

well ill do it i need the braking since i put a better motor than the hf motor ill be doing the complete swap front and back since the brakes are smaller on the hf than the del sol
ill post pics on the process

just do it then, there's only one way to find out ya know. plus you're gonna need the extra braking power with those big-ass ricey 17" rimzors

Re: crx rear disc

yeah i know but i have other rims and u cant say no to free

Your a ------- retard. I dont care about your 20+ years of expirience. How about you take a freshman level engineering class. Statics or physics will work fine although i doubt you could even get into college.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moment_(physics)

I doubt you can comprehend any of it but there is proof.
Moment = Magnitude of Force × Force arm [the perpendicular distance to the pivot (Fd)]

hey ---- stain if there is no increase of static pressure on the line then the braking force will not change that much period and i finished colledge before you were out of grade school nignog
