CRX and Civic HB suspension
I am swapping everything from my CRX Si over to a 1991 Civic HB. I was wondering if all of my suspension components will transfer over (H&R sport springs, struts, etc.). I have searched on here and on H-T and nothing comes up. Thanks in advance.

Re: CRX and Civic HB suspension
everything bolts together
if you are changing to rear discs you need DA E-brake cables though, CRX's arent long enough |
Re: CRX and Civic HB suspension
nah Ill be leaving the rear brakes drum. I should have mentioned that its an 88 CRX, I know they built the 88 CRX's a little differently aka tranny spline count :-X. I dont know if that would cause the suspension to be different though!

Re: CRX and Civic HB suspension
the rear LCA's are diff, you have to use 88 shox w/ 88 LCA's
but if you are swapping everything to your hatch you are fine they bolt up to the car and trailing arms the same |
Re: CRX and Civic HB suspension
alright cool, now that Ive got that figured out. What about the front bumpers, will they fit or will it be a little off?

Re: CRX and Civic HB suspension
they can be made to work, IMO, not worth the hassle

Re: CRX and Civic HB suspension
what all would need to be done, Ill have both cars to pull ---- from so I could just pull what I need.

Re: CRX and Civic HB suspension
since the rear shox are coming from the 88 CRX you MUST use the 88 CRX lower control arms
there is no mods needed, the 88 control arms are a true bolt in affair, just swap them with the shox front is the same for both cars |
Re: CRX and Civic HB suspension
ok cool, thanks alot

Re: CRX and Civic HB suspension
