crx & b18a hood clearence
hey when i install my LS motor will the thing clear my hood line or will i have to do anything to modify the hood...ive heard that u have to dent the hood or cut something out on the underside or some ----...let me know please

it will rub by the cam gears, take a dremel and cut out the ribs on the bottom of your hood by the cam gears

or, if you have the money. you can get a JDM Style hood because it bumps up in the middle area not down like the CRX's we have.. not sure where to get it or how much it costs though. just an idea.
I've read some people's installs where they mount the engine just low enough to clear a stock hood but then the engine is in the wrong spot. Again, if u have the money get a JDM hood, otherwise do the dremel thing |

nu image auto salon out here in kc has a carbon fiber hood for rex's that have b series motors installed...thats why i asked...and there 450 a pop

My ------- hood hits the valve cover all over.. but its been wrecked, so maybe thats why.. lol,

I've been seriously thinking about getting a ZC hood. Friends say WTF, you dont have a ZC.....
I like the way it looks; stock, but different. :-\ Doesnt matter though, I do what I like regardless..... |

BIG ------ HAMMER....i dont want my ---- to look ghetto guys...im trying to make my ride nice....im getting the car painted after i get the engine installed...Burnt Orange with 7 layers of clear coat....i think ill go steal me a hood...hehehehe...or have a crackhead do it for me..

if you're getting the car painted the shop should be able to fix the dents u made w/ the BFH!!! LOL ya just go on ebay and look for hoods, seen them b4.

my buddy put 1/8 inch washers under the mounts...
Doesnt hit at all And no BFH dents :) |
