Default crvtec

im geting a 98 crv from my folks and i want to know what my power gains would be if i put on a 1.6 vtec head.

i know there is alot of car there to haul around could i get away with a b16 swap alone? im not thinkin there is not enough torque there.

a crvtec would be nice in a crv, but it will take a little bit of work. i have a 1st-gen b16a head for sale if you are serious.
crvtec.com, etc will have info about the hybrid.

you tricked me there, crvtec.com isn't a helpful site, it's just a search engine that wants me to buy ----. and while I was at it lsvtec.com doesn't work.

CRVtec is the same as lsvtec w/ more tq. One thing i have been pondering lately is, since the b20 engine has a larger bore and the head comb chamber matches the bore what happens when you put on a head meant for a 81mm bore w/ a 84mm piston!

i think all of you miss the point that he's gettin a whole crv, not just an engine 90civicdx: you will gain some good h.p. if you put a b16 head on it, but you also have to get a new ecu and go about prepping the block and head just like you would for an ls/vtec, in my opinion, it's not worth it for a crv, it's not meant to be fast, and it prolly still wouldn't be if you did this. just sell it and get something else if you want a fast honda, if not, just put an xbox in that mother fukcer and pimp it

i don't know, i've never thought about that, but it obviously is no problem, because it works fine i don't think it would matter unless you didn't have enough piston to head clearance

sorry, kyle, i didn't mean to send you to a bullshit search page. abaZ built a crvtec, so maybe you should ask him. if i were you i would try it, because it is different. i have never heard of someone with a crvtec CRV. it will take some work and $$ but if done right you will have an original ride, which you can then pimp out. it could get suspension and wheel upgrades along with the vtec conversion and next thing you know its a pimp ride.
