crower camshaft

I want to do a y8 head swap on my a6. and eventually id like to have the head ported and upgrade to the crower stage 2 or 3 camshaft. Ive read about clearence issues in the head. I was wondering if anybody had any problems with valve to piston clearence. I know to clay check I was just hoping someone might have ssome information before I buy the cam.

How much power do the cams really give you to the wheels cuz I have been looking at the turbo cam for a while and don't want to waste $300 not to mention all the money for the new gaskets and ----.

You can hit 400 whp on T04E compressors, 3 bar GM map, and unported SOHC VTEC head. Until you are trying to go higher (off the compressor map of the commonly available Garrett turbos aka higher than an inexpensive GM 3 bar reads) or trying to do something speshul, there's no need for a turbo cam. Unless you want more "hp per psi," wtf ever that has to do with anything real.
