crazy idea, awd crx

hey guys ive searched the net and cant find a reason why nobody used the 4wd tranny off the civic wagons which came with the d series motors and tired an awd conversion. form what i can see on my helms manual it doesnt even look like THAT much work has anyone attempted this or even considerd it or am i the only person here that likes awd traction

k, this gets posted all the time on every CRX/4th gen civic board. basicly that drivetrain sucks. but go for it if you want....

its been done. its been posted on this board too. the civic allwheel drive cars only use 10% of the engine power at the back wheels. its not truly all wheel drive. they can call it that because power does go to all wheels, but you will never, even on the coldest day in hell, do wheelies with a 4wd Dseries tranny. the gain is not worth the cost in my opinion.

45psi, that was a CRV drivetrain with a GSR motor, still not worth it, same problems as the old Civic. i will break all the drivetrain parts as soon as you metion horsepower...
