So I´m not going to have it machined. If I go to a new crank from race eng or something what would you recomend? Or should I go with rods and pistons (forged)also to get a great setup ?

I´m going to do this cause it would be dificult to get a good condition used crank here in Portugal.

if u get an aftermarket crank w/ aftermarket rods etc you should take that to a machine shop and get the measurements for clearences.

basically, they will measure the crank journals, then measure the inside diameter of the rod w/ cap trq'd, and the mains. you will get two numbers for each.

they should be able to recommend bearing sizes for you.

upon buildin your motor I would also plastigauge it.

i have a 1G b16 crank in good condition. don't know how many miles but was pulled from a motor that had broken ring lands. 50 plus shipping from 22963 if you want a cheaper route instead of paying almost a G for a race crank.
