crank walk?
 
alright so we're putting on the timing belt and crank pulley and notice crank seems to walks.. how serious is this? any pointers? im pissed.

Are you sure the thrust washers are in and didn't fall out or anything?

it a DSM? how much play is there? it should have like half a nut hair of play in it (check your service manual for exact amount)...

its on a Z6 and it probably has just under 1/16 of an inch of play...

(smelly ryan doesn't think people here know anything but d series)

DSM lol! well we havent fucked with the bottom end , didnt want to.. its enough play to here it kinda sorta pop.. maybe oga will chime in he was there...

it seems very small but enough im worried...

big double fingered pressue plate = SOHC with more crank walk that a DSM!

just replace the thrust washers see if it does anything

are you sure you were seeing crank walk, or were you seeing a seized crank gear moving 1/16" or did you put a dial indicator on crank itself and somehow move the crank back and forth with the tranny on?

this is normal for a honda i swapped a f22b1 with less then 50k on it and it had about the same

how about you actually measure the play and check it agains the service limits...im sure its fine
