a normal impact gun wont remove that bolt. its torked to 120lbs

bolt a piece of metal to your flywheel to hold the crank steady. then put a breaker bar on the bolt and lower the car onto the breaker bar.

or else take it to a shop where they have some serious impacts (1") heeh

good luck that bolt sure is a bitch!

My shitty IR can take those off.. Its a bitch but if you rattle it long enough it should come off.. You just need a massive amount of air though, we run like 160psi at our lines.

If he doesnt have the tranny out, that might be tough to get something on the flywheel.. Someone mentioned this to me one time, and I thought it would work just fine. Take out a spark plug. Get a bolt with the same pitch/thread about 3 inchs long or so. And just thread it in. Bring the engine up (by hand) to where the piston will interfer with bolt, and the engine wont spin on you.. Get a huge breaker bar on the mother fucker and get it off.

DONT DO IT! I worked with a guy that tried that spark plug thrick and he punched a hole in the top of the piston! This was on a Dodge Neon motor, maybe the Honda motors are stronger, but i still wouldnt try it. If you have a tourch you can heat the bolt untill it is red and it will back right out, if not you can bang on the end with a big hammer and that will loosen it, just dont mushroom it.

really? heh, I'm thinking theirs plenty of meat ontop of a stock cast honda piston, but I guess maybe it could happen... Never tried it myself, and some guys on the resource were talking about it along time ago, and it seemed to work out for them.

Heating it up is fine and all, but the motor will still spin when trying to loosen it...

I suggest going to a dealership, and just asking one of the techs, (give him like 10 bucks) just to take the bolt off real quick, and put it back on. Once that factory seal is broken you should be able to get it off with normal air tools.
