Correct me If i am wrong.D16 into a ef. Help!

I have done some research and just want clarification that I am on the right start. I currently own a 1990 civic standard which is a 4 speed and looking to do my first swap.

Looking to either put a d16z6 or y8 into my civic.

Parts required:
Engine:d16z6 or y8
ECU:p28
Distributor: from the motor i choose to go with
Engine wiring harness: whichever engine I decide to go with, either the Z6 or y8
Extra Wiring:a conversion harness for obd0 to obd1 which can be purchased from rywire OR i could actually rewire it on my own
Extra Wiring: a conversion harness for dpfi to mpfi which can be purchased from rywire OR i could actually rewire it on my own
O2 Sensor:4 Wire
D-series header
Motor Mounts: Hasport or reuse the mounts which come on the new engine. I will have to swap the stock driver side mount from my current engine onto the z6 for it to line up correctly.

Parts which should be replaced:
Fuel filter
Head bolts
Timing Belt
Water pump
Spark Plugs
Distributor cap and rotor
valve cover gasket
Radiator and hoses
hondata intake manifold gasket
upgraded intake manifold

Tranny:
1990-1991 si tranny OR
1992-2000 tranny with a cable to hydro clutch kit from Hasports
a complete harness from rywire.com.
Shift Linkage:depends on which tranny
Clutch and pressure plate and these parts depend on which transmission i decide to go with
Axles: which?
Flywheel: for the tranny? engine? or my car?

Engine management: VAFC? or what

Am I on the right track? what parts am i missing? what parts should I add?

What I am unsure of....................
no clue about which axles to use
no clue on if i need the resistor box on not for dpfi to mpfi
Distributor? just match the engine
Flywheel: for the tranny? engine? or my car?

all help is welcomed. Thanks!

id just use everything on the car now the axles and flywheel are the same. Youll have to get a z6 distributor if u use a z6, or a non vtec obd1 distributor if u use a y8 and either repin or get/make a jumper harness

gsx is right, use as much as you can from the current car/motor, and mix and match with the motor you purchase, use whichever parts are in better condition, or work with your current application.
