coolent temp sensors

So im putting a 96 dx longblock into my 90 civic dx hatch. Im using the 90 dx intake manifold, wiring harness and ecu.
One of the temp sensors is in the head, the other one is on the back of the block, next to the oil pressure sender. Well the 96 dx block has a large plug in the hole where the temp sensor would go on the ef. The hole is to large for my obd0 coolent tem sensor to thread into. So im looking through some parts from the obd2 block and i found the thermostat housing has a sender on it which is all busted to the point I cant hook two wires onto it.

So is this what replaces the sender on the back of the obd0 block? and can I run my wires from the back of the block up to the sender on the head? Or should I try and find another sender to screw into the 90 dx thermostat housing?

8) Thermoswitch
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...e/f79abe3f.jpg ---Ok so I cant get the link to the pic to work so here is the post, its number 8. http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=945557

THis is what hooks to the back of the block on my obdo crx, Is this just to turn on/off the fan? SO IF I wanted I could just hook it up to a switch or just hook the two wires together and the fan would run all the time?

Re: coolent temp sensors

thats on the thermostat housing on obd1+ honda engines so if u have the thermostat housing with the sensor off the 96 u can just splice the wires
