Coolant temp guage question.

I installed an aftermarket coolant temp guage with an electric sender, i uesd traced the factory wire at the back of the guage cluster, and tied into it, with the stock line going to the stock guage, and another line spliced going to the aftermarket guage. Porblem is, i only seem to be running at 100 degrees. Is this wrong, am i splitting the signal, or will i have to disconnect wire going to the factory guage.

No, i used the factory wire, attached it to the aftermarket sending unit, which replaced the stock sending unit. Then i found the factory wire at the cluster, and tapped into it for the aftermarket guage.

you HAVE to run the sender that came with the gauge, the resistance is different.

here is how it's done.........
