coolant resivor overflow
i know this topic has been covered hundreds of times and all of them point to a blown head gasket but... my situation has none of the typical signs of a blown head gasket... NO overheating, no exterior leakage, no oil in the coolant resivor, no milky crap on the oil filler cap, only coolant spillage. I fist noticed it yesterday after driiving it hard... it was fairly warm out too. I'm kinda stumped.
My setup is mini-me with non-metal head gasket... its only about 3 months old. any ideas are appreciated. thanx |
Re:coolant resivor overflow
take a look at the radiator cap...is the rubber cracked or wore out?

Re:coolant resivor overflow
yeah i'll check the radiator cap later today... I was thinking maybe its the head bolts...??? i reused the old ones... but its been running flawlessly the last couple of months... what do you think?

Re:coolant resivor overflow
well the radiator cap looks good... comming home from school i drove it hard, got home and checked and everything is cool.... i don't get it. Yesterday was almost 50 degrees out, today it was snowing... could possibly be harder to duplicate in cooler weather?
i guess i'll just have to order some ARPs and new gasket. |
