Coolant bubbles

I have bubbles in the coolant of my b16a1 when I take off the radiator cap. Now I havent noticed any coolant usage or white smoke, however I have removed the upper radiator hose a couple of times and never bled the system. Is it possible that the air is just comming out, or do I have a blown head gasket? It ran hot like a year ago, not extremely hot I shut it down when I saw it go into the red.

Well it's possible it's just trapped air being vented out when you open the cap. If you notice any oil mixed in with the coolant that would be a good indication that you have a blown gasket.

Id check your lines, and if they are fine, might be a head gasket... :-\
