i just traded my turbo sohc 94 civic for a 96 civic sedan with a ls motor, but the wiring looks rigged in it

the stock harnesswas used (y7 automatic, converted to 5spd) for the motor, looks like he did alot of cuting and e taping. theres a cel, it idles funny etc.. but runs and drives fine, besides it surges when you let off the gas fast in gear



i plan to run a obd1 ecu eventually anyways, so how hard is it to just re wire the car for obd1 can i just change the harness that goes into the engine? it seems like a waste to use a obd1 motor in a obd2 car, then by a conversion harness to turn it back into obd1 at the ecu

couldnt i just replace the engine harness all the way to the ecu with a obd1 integra ls one?

yeah 92-95 civic and all 94andup integras have the engine harness that connects at the shock towers. the 96-00civic harness runs through the firewal to the ecu.

just make sure whatever he tapped and spliced was done right or just re do it neatly and buy a obd2a to obd1 conversion harness with a obd1 ecu and be done with it
