comperssion test

well ive been having a little bit of problems with my car not wanting to start..some times it really would take over 1 min to start.. so i changed the plugs and wires.. and still no go.. so i did a comperssion test and this is what i got 150,120,150,150 so my ? is would that cause the problems im having? i want to no before i start spending anymore money on this motor..

by the way this is on a z6

This is your red hatch? :(

Did you blow more than 1 head gasket on this also? I remember you had the timing advanced pretty far and that seems to be the problem with d-series motors lately.

i'd say, put some oil down the cylinders and do another compression test with the throttle wide open. If the compression comes up by a fair bit, i'd say your piston rings are getting weak (the oil will fill in the gap between the rings and the cylinder walls).

the compression test was done warm and with the throttle wide open right? Do what was said above and see if that weak cylinder comes up a bit.

It also sounds like you might have a fuel pump problem, if the fuel pump check valve goes bad it takes longer for the car to start after it sits for awhile.

Have you ever tried checking your main relay? I had problems like that non-stop, sometimes didn't want to start at all. Then my relay caught on fire, so i have a huge cluster----- of switches to start my crx now :D Never had a problem since ::)
