Default Cold Starts

After starting my car in the morning and letting it warm up before heading to work. As I start driving and release the gas pedal to brake, my car strugles to stay on, sometimes even dying on me. This only happens in the cold morning, never any other time of the day. Any idea what it might be?

Maybe three minutes to five while I make some coffee, even then I don't notice the temp meter move. It idles just fine tough.

I haven't really looked, I turn the car on and get my *** back inside. Does it absolutely have to idle that high?

After checking the warm up idle this morning, I noticed that it idles at about 1800 RPM. I understand that 2000 helps it warm up quicker, but I fail to see what that has to do with my car dying in the morning. I let it warm up long enough to get a reading on the temp meter this morning, and still, the same problem

After driving it for a while it steady's out, and idles fine.
