Code 9 In Ef

Hey, I put a DOHC ZC in my 90 Civic Std HB. I am using a virgin PG7 to run it. I cant find the cause of that code. My CAS & CPS are wired up correctly. If my CAS or CPS were bad, I would be getting codes 4 & 8. I dont know where to look next. I have a spare dizzy, but the guy I bougt my ZC from converted the dizzy plug from the original round Si style plug to the square Dx style instead of switching the Dx harness plug for the Si. I can't find a spare harness to jack plugs from, plus @ this point, I am sick of wiring. Any advice is apreciated, Word to your mothers.
Thanks,
Colin

it really doesnt matter what plug ( square or round ) you use, just make sure to match up the colors on the dizzy to the harness.

Did you solder all your connections? i bet thats where your problem lies. if not double check

c1/c2 is cam angle sensor blue/yellow blue /green

b10 and b12 are crank angle doesnt matter what goes to what cause its only reading resistance.

dont use butt connectors or twist the wires. and if you can use OEM honda wiring from a 89 teg. its alot better and cleaner and color codes over a bunch of black wires makes it less confusing.

Right, I got all that hooked up right, but instead of soldering I used 3M snap connectors. I am about to solder my ass of as I type. Thanks dudes, I will keep yall posted.

BTW, finding a 1st gen teg in Pensacola is like looking for a redneck at the Source Awards-you wont find one. I have only seen 4 in this whole town, all in perfect condition.

It might be my CPS. I went and measured the resistance. It was @ 680 ohms-it should be between 350 and 550 ohms. I would have swapped it out with my spare if my tools weren't all at work.

I finally got theis biotch to drive today, it idles @ 1500-2000+ RPM, you gotta floor it to move anywhere-at normal not flooring it speeds. Still throws that damn code 9 and runs richer than an Alcoholic with bladder problems. The ----------er smokes like a 2 stroke. Gas is all you smell, its not burning oil. I soldered all my conections, still getting a code 9. Ditched the useless Haynes manual and Searched All Data for causes of the Code 9. I looked up the 89 G1 teg with the D16A1. Supposedly 9 means bad Cyl Sensor. The same one I just replaced. Maybe they both were bad. I dunno, but I keep fouling plugs out. Car will run once, foul plugs, then wont start till plugs are cleaned thoroghly/replaced. Maybe I should buy a NEW (not used) Dizzy and Cyl Sensor.

The fans dont come on either so it gets hot as hell quickly. I'm just gonna wire a switch for them when I have time to figure it out. My Fuel pump switch works perfect. Looks pretty cool. I took that square removeable panel clip thing from by the right side of the steering wheel, drilled a hole and mounted a small flip switch. It looks good, not one of those huge ass airplane bomb switches. I'll take a pic.

Julio, Im interested in the G1 wiring. Is it possible to use G1 Teg or EF CRX Si Ecu harness wiring and just resolder the wires, like doing a OBD-1 conv.? If so, If you could cut me one wite like 6 inches of wire left, I'll scoop that up as well as the CYL sensor wires and just re-do my wiring. Or pay for somebody to redo it, I sure as hell dont feel like it.

Whats the part number for the DOHC ZC's temp sensor? And spark plugs, the ones I got have to long a reach. I think the ones I have are Bosch equivalent of the Si NGK plugs.
