Default Code 16/Bad ecu?

Would a bad ecu cause a code 16. I can't seem to get rid of it. And it is keeping the car from starting. I have put a PR4 ecu in it. When I bought it the guy said he didn't have a case for it cause it was bent when he got it. So he just took it out of the case. Has anyone ever had this problem with a bad ecu causing one code? I have a new ecu coming. PM6 the right one for the car.

Yeah it the fuel injector code. I have check the wires and all sorts of ----. For some reason when I check for coninuity betten the wires I get some. That shouldn't happen I would think. So then I ran wires directly from the injectors to the ecu thinking that that would solve the probelm but it didn't.

You could have an ECU problem. A friend of mine has a PM6 that always throws a code. You put it in a dif car, same thing.

did you ever think that maybe it is a bad injector everyone yells wiring problem as soon as you mention a code, but sometimes it really is the sensor/component itself

Well I don't think that that is it. I check to see if they had resistence in the injector then I got another set of them and check them. I put both of the sets in there and tried them. Still no go. Thats why I have reason to think that it is the ecu. If that doesn't work then I let you know.

Umm, you ran wires straight from the ecu to the injectors? What ever happened to the resistor box? If i'm not mistaken that should still be on there if you're still using pre-obd ecu's. So ya might wanna check that as well.

Well the power wires go to the resistor box. Not the signal wires. I know thats right. the resistor box is still there and I haven't changed any of that.
