i just replaced the d15b2 in my wifes dx ef hb and the damn thing wont start. i keep getting a code 16 it is a fuel injector issue. i have the old DPFI and the upper injector has a screw out of it. does that mean anything? i have the old intake should i swap it?. also my wife is not a hot rodder and she loves the idea of GREAT gas milage. i am going to pick up a 89 hf here in about 2-3 weeks will the intake fit on the d15. and will it actuly save any gas?

I get code 16 everyday, my dad says it's the fuel pump.

the hf intake manifold will require rewiring for mpfi, and it will make the car faster.

 

lololololol my 89 hb dpfi is STILL sitting in my garadge with a code 16 been there for 3 months.... If ya get this fixed let me know maybe i will get off my lazy azz and fix it lol

 

check ground wires. people leave the one near the thermostat and it wont send fuel if this is left off.

 

every thinng is grounded. i think. should i ad more or replace the oe ones. they r kinda f'd up.. the dpfi to mpfi aint ----. i did one on my zc

 

i cleaned all the grounds and beefed them all up. it still wont start. i pulled of the intake cover and looked in the TB where the 2 injectors are. no fuel but no codes. so i then went to the ecu. i had a extra pm5 from my zc swap and replaced the pm9. still nothing. i dont get codes any more and the chk engine light stays on. DAMNIT IT WONT START!!!!!! i squirted intake cleaner down the TB and it still would not fire. so i replaced the plugs, wires and coil pack. still nothing. is the distributor any way linked to the ecu in the aspect of feul management. i realy dont think it is.


could it be the fuel pump or the distributor. or in some fuked up case could it be both??

ok i got it to run. i spoke to my honda guru and he said it was the throttle body, to put it simple the injectors were not pulsing. swapped it out but it still does not start. when i squirt in starting fluid it starts right up and runs. but when i try to start it w/o the juice. noting. still a damn code 16 when it runs its clean and smooth no codes nothing. i can even see gas coming out of the injectors but none at start up. WHATS UP!!!!

make sure that there are no twists in the wiring harness for the injectors. ihad the same code and the plugs were twisted. make sure u got the head grounded too.

 

twisted? what do you mean? i grounded the head. still noting.

 

YESSSSSSS no mo CODE 16 i untwisted the upper injector wire and the bitch fired right up. THANK YOU
