code 16

hey guys i hope some one can give me some tips on troublshooting my problem.i keep getting a code 16(fuel injector code)oh i got a 89 hatch si with the afc. so far this is what ive done. changed back to my stock injectors-still got a code, swapped ecu's-still got a code, im not sure what else to check. it seems like it will run fine for about five minuts and then i get the code. sometimes it will hesitate to start and give me a code as soon as it does start. i unpluged each injecoter one at a time when the code was on and the engine was strugglin to stay on and when i unplugged injector 4 the engine remained the same so i guess i got a bad connection on 4 somewhere. any ideas on what i can try next? :-\

Trace the wire back as far as you can. I'm not familiar with the CRXs, but on my Civic one wire from the injectors are wired to a junction on the fender wall. There is a connector that supplies power to the injectors. The other wires from the injectors go to the ECU. Good luck. :-\

Re:code 16

Disconnect it? No. Trace it back and look for a short or a bad connection. If it isn't the injector and it isn't the ECU what else could it be?

if you are running a resistor box i found that the wires were gettign clost together and arcing even with it protected with shrink wrap. make absolutely sure they have clearance and dont touch or it will kill the - signal and throw the code. or it could be a fouled plug.

my car likes to throw a code 16 sometimes and not start, my dad says it's the fuel pump, if your car fucks up again check out the pump.
