Clutch and transmission questions. d15b1, d16y7
I'll just list the facts to make this easier to read.
1. I'm cheap 2. I have a d15b1 with 4spd cable trans and shitty clutch that wont hold 3. Don't expect the motor to last too long. I have a d16y7 block/head backup motor for when the d15 fails. 4. I want to get a cheap-but-good clutch and 5spd A6 trans (which I can pick up for free) 5. I might possibly invest in a lightened flywheel too because the stocker feels way too momentus. (is that a word?) If I were to put a clutch and 5spd on my d15b, would I be able to use said clutch, flywheel and trans with the d16y7? Thanks in advance for any answers 8) |

90-2000 clutch/pp/flywheels are the same.
What year is the car/flywheel? |

Damn forgot to mention that. It's an 88 so I'm SOL
guess i'll wait till the clutch is about to give out then crank it up 20psi and see what happens. |

yeah i know but when the clutch dies, the motor is worthless to me. I'll just blow it up and swap in the d16y7 w/good clutch and 5speed. Should make for some cool video. Just hope I don't destroy the turbo in the process or I'm down another $10 LOL.
