Default clutch slipping??

Ok, I know this is a newwb question, but I've never really had this problem b4. My car is a 5- speed...when you start off everything is fine, but when you get to 3500 rpms or so it starts getting really LOUD, much sooner than it normally would...and as it goes on up it just gets louder but the car isn't really pullin' very much at all, by 4500 rpms in 3rd and 4th gear u aren't gaining any speed and it sounds like the motor is goin' to blow, AND in neutral I'm hearing some noise from that area that sounds like my flywheel shuttering or flopping...anybdy familiar with this problem hope you can help...peaace P.S. car runs fine up to 70 in 5th(takin' it easy on her right now, haven't pushed it any harder)
