Clutch replacment
 

Hey Jeff this one's for you... I replacing the clutch on my 88 Honda Crx si, eerything was going well, until we reached the polit bearing on the flywheel. That thing is not coming out, I went and rented the tool,almost broke it (the tool that is), sprayed it with PB rust remover, let it soaked all night nothing!!! talk to me pleae Jeff.

of course it's just not moving, but it is spinn' so what do I do? should I just put on the new clutch, and ignore it???

You can't pull it out. You have to remove the flywheel and it comes out the back of the flywheel. Just use a BFH but remove the flywheel first.

Whats a BFH??? are you sure I remove the flywheel it'll be easier??

It WILL NOT come out any other way. A BFH is a "Big F__king Hammer".

lol, ya you will have a tough time getting the pilot bearing out from the front side. you need to remove the flywheel and pull it from the backside. then get your "BFH" and punch it out. (backside) then install your new one.

The flywheel has 12pt 17mm bolts.

Jeff, after I remove the flywheel, will it come out with the wheel, and all I will have to do is bang it out with a BFH, after I'm done with that do I place the flywheel back first or the new bearing???

once you take the flywheel out you can remove it and install the new bearing... its not that hard at all.. Just get the flywheel off, you will see how to do it.
