Clutch opinions and experiences.

Alrighty.

I am looking to get a new clutch for the CRX. No need for anything crazy since it is a B17 that will most likely never see boost.

I have driven many cars with the Exedy stage one clutch.

I am contemplating getting a clutch from LSD.

Anyone have any opinions on their clutch kits. I see they have a full disk and a sprung six puck for about the same price as they sell the Exedy kit for.

A six puck seems like overkill.

I may eventually spray the B17 with a small 50-65 shot.

lsd clutch or act. I have used act clutches for years one that I actually used in my first swap back in 1997. That clutch would be used in my civic for the next 6 years daily driven zc while in college. Then the clutch went into d15bastards turbo d15b which ran 12's on slicks. The clutch never once failed after proably 100k+ miles and just pure abuse. I think the clutch is now on his daily driver crx with a sohc vtec.

puck clutches are may fav but are a little bit of a pain if you plan on sitting in traffic with the car. if its a highway/track car run a puck disc. The 3 puck exedy is also a nice unit.

LOVE ACT.... :-*

either way Mike @ LSD will hook it up... buy one of his (i will be running his disc with my ACT PP) or a full ACT kit...

for that light of an NA motor i would stick with a full face disc.... ACT XTSS....

Wasn't even a consideration amigo.

I really like the clutch I have minus the fact that is doesn't seem to disengage all the way. Siupposedly it is a Spec stage 1, but who knows. It came with the GSR when I bought it and when I rebuilt the trans, I had no real reason to pull the clutch assembly apart. When I did the swap to the CRX, I really didn't have a reason to pull the clutch apart. In retrospect, I should have done so just to inspect it.

I need to just tear the fucker apart to see what is going on, but if I am in there, I will most likely replace the clutch.
