clutch issues

car 91 hatch
engine 92 ls w/ i/h/e
exedy organic clutch w/ 10lb aluminum flywheel
~24K mi on clutch

last night sitting in traffic i felt a small pop in my clutch pedal and it felt loose and i couldnt get my car to shift into any gear. so i hiked home and went back to the car when there was no traffic push started it and powershifted home. i went and bought a new cable as i figured i would try that since adjusting it didnt have any affect. that cable isnt the prob, when i took the cable off the arm it attaches to, the arm moves freely from bottom to top. my guess is either the bearing or the PP since the clutch isnt slipping at all. since i have to borrow a floor jack so i can pull the trans later i just wanted to get opinions on what it might be.

if it is the PP should i just replace that or just get a new complete kit???

this will be the most ghetto trans pull of my life, i have to do this in my driveway, no hoist, and only the tools i keep in my trunk. i cant risk getting stuck in traffic getting to the shop, D.C. traffic sucks my ass

Re: clutch issues

but wouldnt i still have resistance in the pedal if that happened??? when i lift that arm by hand the bearing doesnt hit the PP untill it is almost at the top of its movement.
there wasnt anything bouncing around the bellhousing when i drove it last night, the clutch stuck like normal,it just wasnt disengaging

definately sounds more like the bearing either came off one of the hooks are just deteriorated. Did you install the clutch?

Did you put a lot of lube on the bearing? What kind of bearing was it?
