Clutch Install, Need HELP!
Okay my 93 civic hatch w/B18A1 and GSR hydro tranny is being a biatch. I installed my clutch the first time, but had no tension on my clutch release fork. so i pulled it apart, and looked but I see nothing wrong..?? I took off the pressure plate and clutch disc, they both look good, but i notice when i try to put them back on that when the clutch disc is on (using alignment tool to hold it in place), and I put the pressure plate on, there is a 1/4" gap in between the pressure plate and the flywheel where it bolts up. I dunno what to do!!!
I bought this clutch from Schister66, does it sound like maybe he sold me the wrong clutch? The bolt holes line up just fine, but theres that damn gap! Please Help!

I had no tension on my clutch release fork. you should have tension on that (ie.. push on it, let go and it springs back), i had none. I Didnt try torqing the bolts down because Of the gap in between the pressure plate and the flywheel.
Well dumb question to ask now, but is there a difference between a flywheel from a 90 integra w/cable trans and a flywheel from a 98 integra w/hydro trans
?
Also, I just went out, installed the clutch, and mated the transmission to the motor. i still have no tension on my fork. I'm guessing that the throw out bearing pushes on the little pieces of metal on the center of the pressure plate..?? Well, when I tighten the clutch down those things go flat (usually somewhat sticking out)..

SHOULDNT there be a gap? i mean your tightening the bolts down to over come the springs on the clutch, that happened to me and my clutch works great, you have to push down the big springs on the pressure plate, am i correct?
there is going to be a gap until you have the plate all tightened down because of the springs acation. There whouldn't be any tenstion on the clutch fork ar all, it should wiggle until the tranny is bolted down and the slave cyl is hooked up. and you wouldn't even be able to test it by hand unless you have a real ----- pressure plate.
