Clutch adjustment

So I installed my new H.D. pressure plate and street disc and I noticed that the adjustment knob on the 91' Civic transmission cable is maxed out, meaning I cannot adjust it any more.
So, I put some large washers to act as a spacer so I would be able to adjust the clutch.
I can post pics, (Im going downstairs now) but why is this happening?
I had re-surfaced the flywheeel 2x already, so is that a possibility?
My concern is that as the clutch plate wears I will not have any more slack to tighten the cable. Has anyone experienced this same problem?
LMK Thanks

Re: Clutch adjustment

Clutch cable may have streched...hmm...check by the pedal too, may be some adjustment there but I don't think so, but make sure the weld on the bracket haven't bent or broken under there too

I put that cable not too long ago, and, the cable bracket is fine, thanks for the input, but, I dunno what else it could be aside from the flywheel being re-surfaced too many times.
Any other ideas? ???

So, I think you were right Loserkidwac, my cable is stretched due to the Heavy Duty pressure plate. This sucks because the cable is fairly new, and Im afraid its just a short matter of time before it snaps. (I ordered a new cable to keep as a spare just in case that happens.)
I took some large washers and cut it to act as a spacer to pick up the slack from the cable being stretched. As seen in the pic
Attachment 32635
Im gonna remove the clutch pedal assy. and somehow reinforce it by welding steel plates to the bracket.
I would appreciate it very much if someone would advise me of any way I could fix this problem and not snap cables so easily. Thanks in advance nogs.
Oh yeah, I also put a hose clamp around the rubber on the bottom part of the cable to reduce flex, I read this after searching previous posts.
