Default Cleaning headlights

I know this has been covered many times but i cant seem to find it.

oo' Civic DX headlights are filled with dirt and fog from being stored, I want to open them up and clean it up. I know I put it in the oven to heat the silicone but what temp?

Preheat or just throw it in there while its heating up?

Thanks!!

the best way is take the headlight out of the car fill it 1/3 with water throw in some salt and some crushed ice. SHAKE it up and rinse.
the salt is the abrasive and the ice sort of helps the salt scrub the dirt and crud off your lenses.

I used to just pour a little brush cleaner in em and swirl it around a little, then try and stick a long brush in there and scrub it a little. But i like the salt/ice idea. And trust me dude...don't split the headlight apart-you'll never get it to seal back up properly and it'll fog up everytime it rains :P (personal experience)

Thanks guys....

Ice and salt sounds good to me.....maybe some running alcohol.

I mean if it works on a bong it should work on a headlight....
