Lots of people speak highly of R cams, I personally have never used them, but know of lots of people who like them. Is it worth it? if the price is right.. yes, but IMO, might as well save up for a nice set of billet cams, with some fatty lift and duration

dont even bother with the civic type r cams. why dont you just got with the integra type r cams. thats the biggest difference between the gsr and type r, and that fact that the type r head has better flow. but the gsr crank is alot lighter.

I havent done any measurements to confirm that they are IDENTICAL, however:

1-they are machined with different grooves on the distributor side
2-they have different part numbers
3-they are priced differently from honda

As far as the actual lift/duration/ramp profiles, they may be minutely different, and honestly, not to the point where you would want one but not the other.
Essentially they are the same pieces.

And they are definitely worth taking a look at if you want to upgrade from stock B16 cams or something along those lines.
BTW, I am only speaking highly of the intake cam (ITR/CTR), as I was very disappointed after I installed an ITR exhaust cam.

Was told the ITR exhaust is the same as a GSR exhaust. Anyone confirm?

The gsr exhaust cam is not the same as the itr exhaust...the ctr and itr has the same exhaust cam.

I had the ctr cams in my old ls/vtec setup and they felt nice...good bang for the buck. But if you have more money...they're many options.
