check engine light?? need help

hey guys i was driving my crx the other day to work and i noticed the check engine light came on and when it came on it wouldnt allow me to go above 3500 rpms without letting it bog down, my thermostat gauge stopped working about 1-2 wks ago and i didnt know if that might have something to do with it, ever since i had a engine swap done in my crx it has been actin a lil strange, but i am just wondering if anyone has had this problem if would just save me time to try and figure it out on my own so i thought i would see who could help me on this one

That ---- happen to me but mines stops at 5600 rpms. All U gotta do is count the long blinks and the short ones and look in a manual to see what codes ur ecu is throwing. Ur probly throwing several codes why ur car is in limp mode.

i did like i was supposed to and count the # of times that it blinked but it just stayed constant, the red light in the ecu didnt blink and the check engine light stayed constant too, any suggestions on what to do next??

I have a few suggestions. First U could put a wire in one of the slot of the ecu i don't remember which one, but that could work.

Second U could go to autozone and let them check ur ecu for FREE.

Third U could ask a mechanic shop to check it. They may not charge U for checking.

Necro dont tell somone to go to autozone LOL. let me guess you like wings. Anywho a solid cel at the ecu is a result of 2 things. A bad ground or a bad ecu thats it kids and if you still want to go to autozone and have the pro's look over it go for it maybe jesse James will be there ::)
