so i just bought this hatch off craigslist and all was good except for some reason the check engine light keeps popping on sometimes it will come on right after startup and sometimes after an hour the car runs great so im just curious on what it could be... the guy told me it was the intake air temp sensor wire cause it was frayed but i replaced it and still pops on so please i need some input...

check the code, and diagnose... maybe the o2 sensor...
