check engine light
ok i swapped my dx manifold on my ek and replaced it with a y8 mani and now the check engine light is on and how do i get rid of it?

like i always say " drive around for about 30,000 t0 40,000 miles the bulb will finaly burn out." or you can put a piece of eletricans tape over the bulb :)

What manifold did you replace, intake?
If you check the error code it will instantly tell you what's wrong. |

Well its probably because you went from a 3 wire IAC valve to a 2 wire or you switched the TPS and MAP plugs.

na uh, i did have them switched up but i changed it and it still had the check engine light on- oh yea when i come to a complete stop sometimes it would idle so low it feels like its shut off and other times it would idle to about 2 grand somewhere around there.

I did the same think on my ek and turnd out to be a vacum leak in the intake mainfold the gaskest are different from different years or at least in my case it was some kinda emissions thing I don't know but anyways check you vacum might be throwing a map code or something like that well good luck
