Default ceramic coating pisoton tops?

I did a google search on this and it seems like it would only be cool for NA since they said ceramic coat the piston "dome". wtf is a piston dome? I like piston dishes. Also they said that it keeps combustion chamber temps up, and that=bad for FI. anybody have any input on the situation?

I'd say your right on the money about possibly being an NA piston. But, I don't know how much I'd trust it. I mean how much more expensive is it compared to a standard piston? Have there been any proven performance gains from it? And another thing would be the heat thats involved. In time, wouldn't you think the ceramic coating would burn or flake off?

I would imagine there would be some problems with it since not many people are doing it. awe ---- it, no coating for my pistons.

all the coating does is keep heat from soking into your pistons and help eliminate hot spots on the piston surface that can cause detonation a lot of people who run turbo V8s coat just about every thang in the engine and it works great its not used that much because its just over kill to put on forged internals thats all but really its some good stuff
