after all my bad idle probs ive just now got a CEL #67 (obd2)
any input here?
i have a bad erratic idle and smells rich as hell at idle and has some stalling while accelerating
the guy i bought my car from said he may have gutted the cat
some help please guys

lol, what a coincedence he he gutted the cat. the code is for "Catalyst System efficiency below threshold". so that would probly be the problem.

well its hard to always figure things out when ya have 3 kids and work 55+ hours...i just like to know before i go tearing in

so youre saying just replace the cat...not the O2s?

i dont have much time to do this so id like to be sure thats all

your options are:

1) replace cat (1,000 dollars from teh dealership)
2) get an o2 simulator (designed for gutting the cat without getting cel)
3) quit being a vagina and convert to obd1


yes, if you're getting that cel, there's about a 99% chance the guy gutted the cat and a 1% chance the sensor is bad.

i have all that i need for the obd1 conversion but when i hooked it up i get a CEL 14....98 ex does not need to convert the IACV so i dont no what to do
