cel #43. fuel supply problem.....

just replaced the water pump. did everything by the book on putting the crank pulley, belts, etc. back on. started up to set timing. ran like complete horses ass. waited for it to warm up, through a code. cut the car off and it showed a cel 43. it sounded like the car was running with a dead cylinder. unfortunatly i wasnt able to look into it more, im out of town visiting family. 95 z6 <- motor, stockish

what im asking is what should would you guys recommend i check when i get back. the car has been sitting up for about 1.5 months. im thinking maybe an injecter is stuck close/open. not sure. any valid suggestions will be rewarded with porn. ;)

compression check, then get a spark tester, and after that start checking injectors

Ohm meter, check and see which injector is grounding out on the engine. That's how I got my code 43, clamped an injector wire between the intake manifold and the brace.

I've had this problem a few times, once it was a bad oxygen sensor and another time on a different car the fuel pressure regualtor was bad.
