CEL
A bit of a stupid question but how do i find out the code that my CEL is showing? ???
i know that you have to bridge the service connector, but im not sure what to do with the ignition being on or off at what stage in the procedure. I have a OBD1 1992 b16a2 |
Re:CEL

Re:CEL
do you have the little green service clip with 2 wires going into it above your ECU?
if so, just take a paper clip, un ravel it, and stick the ends in the plug. now click your key to the acc position on the steering colum, your CEL will flash. the slow flashes equals the second digit (i.e. 10, 1 being the slow flash) and the quick flash represents the second number which would be the 0 in 10. just count them and put the number together, when you know the number come back online and i`ll tell you what the code is! i hope that made sense, if not, pm me! |

Re:CEL
hrmmmmmmmm........ it sounds like it might be your o2 sensor, theyr'e known to only throw the CEL sometimes, it could also be a short in a wire...... it's prolly your o2 though, do you have another one you could swap out to see, or maybe someone could let you borrow one for a few to test it????
|
Re:CEL
code 41, it displays this code then i leave it for 5 seconds then it displays another code 41 then another one and about another 10 in a row!
Wtf??? |
Re:CEL
your gettin' a whole lot of Heater Circuit Fault codes...
|
Re:CEL
so what does that mean? :-[
|
Re:CEL
heater cicuit i do believe is for the warmer on the O2 so either you have a short or your O2 is crapping out.
