Re:Car troubles

so basically you guys think its the slave cylinder or the clutch?

Re:Car troubles

I don't understand the part where it was slowing down. If the slave cylinder went out it wouldn't just slow down. If the clutch just went to complete ---- it might slow down, but you're rpm's would go through the roof. It sounds like something with the motor had to have gone wrong if it was slowing down. :-\

Re:Car troubles

ite weird like when it was slowing down i was floorin it and it kept droppin it felt like it was trying to go but couldnt and just kept droppin and it was jerkin a lil as if someone was steppin on the gasbut yet it was still slowing down. remember this is carberated maybe it has something to do with that to.my father just informed me that he went to the shop and tried it out and it shifted through the gears just fine, but that wasnt the case yesterday. also i went through a 3 1/2 hours traffic jam after the races at daytona before this incident the same day.

Re:Car troubles

No not out of gas i had a quarter tank. And oh yeah i talked to the previous owner ( the one before the one i bout it from ) he said that the reason that he got rid of the bitch was because the car did the same thing it did to me. He said it is driavable, hard as ----, but driveable but it can be fixed. HE just didnt want to waste his money.

Re:Car troubles

the guy we bought it fron was a lil shady mean we knoew him for liek 2 years and we was good friends with my brother but he said he didnt have any preoblems with the car only that it leaked anti-freeze and we were like :-\? cause we heard it hd an oil leak but after we bought it, the guy went to NH and then from there he is going in the air force so no kick in the nuts for him. After the car sat in the drivway it was leaking something but it wasnt antifreeze it was some form of fluid or oil, (maybe fromt he slave cylinder maybe from the engine who knows) and after the break down we took it to the shop ill let yall know wht was wrong with it when i get it back.

Re:Car troubles

Son fo a bitch. I just got the car back fromt he shop and the only thing they did was replace the light bulbs cause there were some burnt out ones and then put in a new Master cylinder and the parts plus labor was $330 nothing else was replaced.....i hate freakin prices for labor the parts total were only $140 bucks that is bullshit. I am jsut waiting now for my clutch to go cause it, like i said has lasted longer then a normal clutch should. As of right now here is the tally:
Car $550
Registration $100
Insurance $1044 Every 6 months

Master cylinder, variouse lights and a light socket + labor
$330
Expression on my face when i relized what else could go wrong soon Priceless

Total: $880 + 180 for insurance
