Car not starting..... lil help????

ok, heres the whole deal. Im doing my junkyard setup, and ive got the std mani with turbo and oil lines bolted on... waiting on charge piping ....

So i start up my car today and the ---- is ------- missfiring and smoking like a mother fucker! Im like WTF! ok .. so i go through the basics.
Compression test.. 190 across.... pull plugs.. there black.... put new plugs in .. no good .. ---- with dizzy .. no help ...

finally im looking around and i notice that my damn vac line is off my wall mounted map sensor .. Ok i plug that ---- in and walla, smoke is gone and idles good..

Car still had a little bit of a hiccup in it, so i shut it off, and turned the dizzy bnack a little bit to stock timing . Fire it back up, and its runs fine for like 5 seconds and then just hardcore cuts the ---- out on me. And thats where i sit now, Hasnt fired since then.

Anyone have any ideas about what the hell could have happened? I mean i didnt like stuble and stall out, it was like it just kicked right out as if i had turned off the key! .. Im lost....

Well it ssounds like it could be a distributor problem but im not sure. Do you have an extra one to check with? Check all vaccum lines that go the map sensor. Also you may be having some fuel problems, you know ur spark and air are fine if the dizzy is good... so it may be the pump

you might have fouled your spark plugs

Try the fuel/spark test. Spray some starting fluid in the intake manifold and check it that way.

well, i went over today, and turned the key and she fired right up! my car ------- hates me!!!!

its running really shitty though .... im wondering if it has to do with the turbo being on without charge piping?

it stumbles and sputters and ---- in idle pretty bad .... im getting a little bit of black somke out of her i think ..... maybe ive got a sticking injector or somehting in my ignition is not up to par and is not spraking well and not burning all the fuel????

check volatge in your coil and if you keep running hte car that rich your plugs will continue to foul out so go through some more basics cap/rotor/coil

did you touch any of the wiring harness? check the grounds. i just did an engine swap in my CRX and took me a week until someone told me to check the ground by my thermostat.. i would get it running, it would run PERFECT then all the sudden it would just cut the ---- out, back fire and smoke out the intake.. the whole nine yards and then some.. check the grounds, fuel preasure regulator.. make sure you have fuel preasure for one, and spark.. i know for the fact that the one ground will ---- up your car.. i tightend it and it just purred.. set the timming and i was good.. good luck man

are you still running stock injectors? or did you wire up some 450's? if you wired up the 450's do you have something to control them?
