(canadian HF, STD) Exhaust manifold question

ok in Canada we do no have the HF, STD models so therefore we don't use the HF, STD manifolds but there is one engine that had the similar design but differ is ways as well its the D16Y7 non VTEC SOHC engine from a 96-00 civic, would that be the same as the STD manifolds?

heres the D16Y7

compared to

and this is the type of manifold we use mostly

Yeah it'll sit really low but you can hack off a bit and weld a flange on it. I've seen a few guys do it but it ain't pretty. Just keep an eye out for cx/vx manis, they're the same as the hf/std.

k i think i need to look the the EG cx/vx manifolds, i know we don't have the vx here cause we have the Si but we do have cx and i think they use the same manifold as the pic above that has the cat running underneath the car instead of being in the engine bay, hopefully i'm wrong cause that would be my only way to get a hold of a HF/std style manifold.

88-91 civic CX is the equivilant to the use STD model. comes w/ shorty manifold.

I used a y7 mani. I'll see if I can find a pic of manifold I made. Just hack below the o2 sensor and weld a t3 flange on it. I just filled the o2 sensor in since I put the o2 sensor on the downpipe. Who says you can't weld onto cast? Not me cause that mani heldup fine.
