so i put my turbo kit together and ran it for a while noticed two o -rings were leaking from the injectors and tonite i go to replace em and when i re tighten the fuel rail nuts , the stud ------- snapped! I had n extra manfiold laying around so i drank some beer and swapped one out! then the next stud BROKE! the whole process went good untill now!
figures. does walmart have nuts n bolts? idk any other 24 hour auto parts stores and im drunk! :1 edit- wasnt drunk while doing this ^ |

You did a fook.
You should have learned the first time, and not tightened it so much. This happened to me once, I got a couple replacement studs from the dealership. They aren't really expensive. |

who tighten's the fuel rail that tight? hand tight and check if it leaks, done... why muscle it? do as jago says

I always go with the standard torque specs. "too tight's broke"

only three place I use torque wrench on a Honda
Main girdle bolts, rod bolts, head bolts.......... everything thing else is german spec. Funny, I've never broke a bolt on a Honda :) |
