Can I STROKE my B18 Ls/Vtec?
I was thinking today about putting a stroker kit in my Ls/Vtec while it is out for the winter, and was wondering if this is possible? I was currious as to wether I could put the CRV crankshaft as well as possibly the CRV rods if I would need to, to make it a stroker for torgue. Now you may be wondering why I don't just go CR/Vtec.... because the block are tough to get ahold of around me and I've already got the Ls. So I was just wondering if it is possible and with what rods and hopefully a set of High Compression pistons to go along with the CRV crank? One of the biggest questions I have is wether the CRV is a TALLER block or not than the LS, IF it is taller then I would have to use some shorter rods so the pistons dont slap the head... Any useful info and comments are alwayse welcome. Thanks guys

Re:Can I STROKE my B18 Ls/Vtec?
im pretty sure the ls and crv cranks are the same size. the only reason that the crv is a 2.0 instead of a 1.8 is because of a larger bore... crv bore is 84mm instead of the ls 81mm bore.

Re:Can I STROKE my B18 Ls/Vtec?
your right, I just read that on HONDATUNING's web site they're both 89mm stroke. How then do the CRVtec's make so much more TORQUE than the Ls/Vtec's? I would think that Bore would'nt have anything to do with Torque....

Re:Can I STROKE my B18 Ls/Vtec?
Bore/stroke make up displacement hence why 84/89 is a 2.0 when the ls is 81/89 is a 1.8. Thats why people sleeve blocks to get more displacement.

more displacement=more torque
