can anything be done to help my b16 head

well the oil pump broke on my b16 and im pritty shure it trashed the head. there are grooves worn into the head and the caps on the timing belt side of the motor. so besides pulling all the components out of the head and having a big paper wieght,is there anything i can do. :'( :'( :'(

are you talking about the cam journals? like when main bearings spin due to lack of oil. please clarify

there really are no bearings in the head. the cams ride in the alum. no oil= cams start digging into head :(

They might be able to be polished... bring to a good machine shop and ask...

if the grooves/wear is bad and it gets polished, the clearances might be out of spec. it's tough to say, but just prepare for the worst.
