cable tranny in my EG civic
hey guys wassup, heres tha deal,
some guy wants to trade me a 98 gsr motor(b18c1) for my single (d15b) and my complete turbo setup. the only problem is that he has a cable tranny and my car runs a hydraulic setup. i was wondering if i took the pedal box and cable out of a 4th gen civic would it bolt up and work in my civic? i dont wanna miss out on this "golden" opportunity. |

Re:cable tranny in my EG civic
paperchaser. You'd be a fool not to do this. Go buy a hydro tranny now. Eat the extra cost if you can then get more then the money back when u sell the cable.

Re:cable tranny in my EG civic
you can change the eg to accept the cable. it'll be diff but you can stick with the cable if you want. you just run a cable through your fire wall and purchase this adaptor to pull the cable from the inside. i believe tha has has the kit. the other problem is that the trany mount will have to be modified to fit into the eg chassie. thats one way or what everyone else was suggesting.......get a hydro trans. but if you are gonna drag and dont care much about more gas consumption...id suggest trying to find a hydro y21 del/civic sir b16 trans...the gearing in a gsr is a bit longer. but its nothing major...its alittle better for gas on the highways...lower 5th.
